About
Rooted in Faith. Grounded in Wisdom. Centered on Mothers.
Amana is a Hebrew word meaning faithfulness, trust, and being firmly rooted. That meaning reflects the heart behind this work.
Amana Birth and Postpartum Services exists to support families as they prepare for pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood. These seasons are not simply medical events. They are physical, emotional, and often deeply spiritual transitions that shape a family for years to come.
I offer education, steady support, and practical guidance so families can approach this season with clarity instead of fear.
Many families who come to Amana are looking for something specific. They want care that respects both the body and the Creator’s design for it.

At the center of Amana is a deep respect for physiologic birth.
Birth is a natural biological process. When pregnancy is healthy and the environment supports labor, the body follows an intricate hormonal sequence designed to bring a baby into the world.
Modern medicine has an important role when complications arise. At the same time, research continues to show that when birth is supported rather than routinely managed, families often experience better outcomes and greater confidence in their birth experience.
Supportive birth environments are associated with
• lower rates of unnecessary intervention
• lower cesarean rates
• improved breastfeeding outcomes
• stronger maternal confidence after birth
Many families I serve are preparing for home birth or birth center birth. Others are birthing in hospitals but want support that respects physiologic labor and informed choice.
Regardless of the setting, mothers deserve preparation, respect, and steady support.
Amana is rooted in the belief that the Creator designed the body with wisdom and intention.
Scripture reminds us that children are a blessing and that life itself is a gift.
“See, children are an inheritance from YHWH, the fruit of the womb a reward.”
Psalm 127:3
For many mothers, faith becomes an anchor during pregnancy and labor. Prayer and trust in the Most High often bring peace during moments that feel uncertain or intense.
Faith is not used here as pressure or expectation. It simply reflects the foundation from which this work flows.
Families who share a biblical worldview often feel deeply aligned with the perspective at Amana. At the same time, any family who values thoughtful preparation and respectful support is welcome here.
My work centers thoughtful preparation and steady presence. Families often reach out because they want someone in their corner who understands physiologic birth and takes the time to prepare them for what lies ahead.
Support may include pregnancy preparation, birth support, and postpartum care.
During pregnancy we focus on education, mindset, and practical preparation. Partners are included so they feel confident and involved in the process. Conversations often include nutrition, lifestyle, and holistic approaches that support a healthy pregnancy.
During labor I provide continuous support. This may include comfort measures, position suggestions, encouragement, and helping maintain the calm environment that labor needs.
After birth the focus shifts to recovery, rest, feeding support, and helping families navigate the early postpartum weeks with care.
The goal is simple.
A supported mother.
A confident family.
A peaceful beginning for new life.
Amana tends to be the right fit for families who
• value holistic living
• believe birth is a natural physiologic process
• desire informed choice and maternal autonomy
• appreciate both faith and thoughtful evidence
• want intentional preparation for postpartum
Many clients are preparing for home or birth center birth, though this support can complement a variety of birth settings.
If this perspective resonates with you, there is a good chance we will work well together.
Birth is one of the most formative moments in a family’s life.
The way a mother is supported during this time matters.
If you are preparing for birth and looking for support that honors your body, respects your values, and prepares your family well, I would be honored to connect.
